Spending more time at home? Maybe it's time to brighten up your surroundings!

Here's aniother look at some of our inventory (lots of the items previously shown have now sold.)

Sampling of our inventory.

Five reasons you should furnish your home (at least partly) with antiques:
1) YOU'RE AN ENVIRONMENTALIST. The furniture we sell hasn't required cutting down a tree in about 200 years. It hasn't added to a landfill (or increased carbon dioxide from burning) in the same time. And if it continues to be used by you, both of those environmental pluses will continue into the future.
2) YOU APPRECIATE BEAUTY. Most of the antiques we sell -- furniture, lighting, and accessories -- are hand-crafted and, although utilitarian, are truly works of art -- as much as pieces actually created as art.
3) YOU UNDERSTAND LIFE-CYCLE COSTING. Even when an antique costs more initially than a new piece of furniture (and it doesn't always), over the course of a lifetime you will save money having antiques that you keep forever compared to buying and replacing new furniture every few years. Hint: if it has survived 200 years, it was probably well-made and is not as likely to break and become worthless as a new piece!
4) YOU HAVE AN APPRECIATION OF HISTORY. There's a sense of "connectedness" to the past when you sit in a chair that was around at the time of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc.
5) YOU SEE YOURSELF AS A STEWARD. We don't really "own" anything -- we are just temporary stewards, caring for for the good (ideas, things, the earth itself) we inherited from the past and passing them on to future generations.

You can be all of those things . . . and care for antiques by furnishing your home partially with them . . . while still making room for the "new and (maybe) improved" technologies of today!

Here is a sampling of the kinds of things we carry.
