Yesterday, a customer from Switzerland walked into our spice shop and said she remembered visiting us years ago when our shop was inside a complex, with steps going down to the store.

Even after we moved, she found us again. Before waving goodbye, she smiled and said, ‘Don’t change your shop when I come again.’

In that moment, we realized something beautiful, our small spice shop is part of someone’s travel memories. And that means everything to us.

“Perfect time to buy spices!”
She walked in with a wide smile, while the evening rain poured down outside.

She stayed for almost an hour—talking about spices, cultures, and life.

And then, gently, she shared:
“My father passed away this morning.”

No tears. No rush. She chose to be present.
To talk. To smile. To live.

She smiled again and said,
“He taught me—whatever comes or goes, hold on to sheer happiness. Be content with what you have, and where you are.”

What a soul.

We were honored to share that moment with her—to witness grace in grief, joy in the storm.

Moments like these remind us: spice-selling is more than business.
It’s about people. It’s about life.
