I'm delighted that my poem 'What Comes To Hand' is in the new edition of Thimble Lit Mag. You can read it here, and there's many more wonderful poems and illustrations to discover:

What Comes To Hand by Liz Kendall Plunging my hand into my bag, hoping for the right set of keys out of three, I find the shriveled conker. Puckered, unlovely, a**l. When I stopped in the street to claim its shine it was the radiant sun and all autumn goodness. A charm against spiders. A childhood.....

Last week we got some full on hate mail saying some super unpleasant things about Writers' HQ, and specifically about Sarah (get your f**ken hands off Sarah or we will use our writerly power to DESCRIBE YOU goddamit). So this week's Monday Buttkick is dedicated to everyone who has ever been told they are too much.

In the words of the glorious Paul Macauley, too much for what?!

Head blogward to do the reading...

I really enjoyed talking about 'Meet Us and Eat Us: Food plants from around the world' on the Fiery Bird Radio Show with Elaine McGinty. Thanks Elaine for having me on the show and for letting me choose some great tracks for the playlist, The Velveteen Orkestra (1 hr 19 mins & 1 hr 54 mins) and WORK IN TV (1 hr 27 mins). Our conversation starts at 20 minutes in. Facebook is being weird about links today but the replay is on this page, Fiery Bird Show from 20 March.
