It’s always so wonderful to see what clients create from our fabrics! This is a fabulous jacket Denise made using one of our Houndstooth woollen blended fabrics. The colour, fabric, style and fit are just perfect! 👌🏻 it’s really lovey!

We just love this new checked coating and black faux pleather. So many design options and clothing pieces could be created from just these 2 fabrics. Imagine a coat in the checked coating, with a caramel scarf & ivory turtleneck top, teamed up with the black pleather as a slim fitting trouser! That’s at least one look right there!

Just a little reminder about our Open studio this weekend and although I will be convalescing after having surgery this week, I wanted to let you know that our event is still going ahead! I’m leaving the fabric event in the capable hands of the wonderful “Team Watsons Fabrics” where Mark, Vanessa & Lizzy will be on hand to help you with your fabric and sewing needs, so please do come pop in and see our fabulous range of dressmaking fabrics, Tilly and the Buttons patterns and haberdashery items. Super soft and luxurious Mélange knits have arrived in the most gorgeous colours! These knits are so soft to the touch and have a fabulous level of stretch making them a perfect choice for a wrap top like the Tilly and the Buttons Pearl pattern, or as a wrap or poncho, or even an oversized drop shoulder top or cardigan style top. This fabric would also be fabulous made up into a tunic length dress. Stretchy and cosy for those cooler days.
We recommend the schmetz ballpoint needles in a size 80/12 when sewing with this fabric and remember we offer a thread matching service at checkout to ensure you have the perfect matching thread for your fabric order with us. Just add “matching thread” and the number of spools of thread you require at checkout. 🧵🪡✂️

This is just stunning! We love this piece made during the Hive sewing classes , using our gorgeously soft and billowy dainty leopard viscose with Sheen finish. It’s so chic and Jules look’s incredible In her masterpiece. Just fabulous Jules!

Fantastic to see our white embroidered striped cotton fabric made up by Janet in the Marnie! Janet this looks stunning! It’s so fresh and clean, feminine and yet comfy! The attention to detail is just superb too! Just super Janet 🙌🏻
we love this pattern as you can do so much with it by changing the sleeves options, including or excluding the pin tucks or add more frills! Just love the style and general versatility of this pattern.

Just a little reminder that our Open weekend is happening next Friday, Saturday & Sunday between 10am -4pm. 3rd, 4th and 5th May 2024!

If you love to sew, craft and make your own clothing, then do come pop by to our Home garden studio for our open weekend.
You will be able to see and feel ALL our fabrics, get advise on the right fqbrics for your next projects or stock up on Haberdashery supplies while chatting to like minded sewists.
We have a wide range of dressmaking fabrics available, from cotton, linen, viscose, jersey, blends, wools, stretch, linings, canvas, denim ans a lot of new fabrics that have just arrived this week. Sew…. It’s definitely worth popping along.
