The Merch Desk Shop is now closed. Most of the stock will be reappearing on the Burning Shed website so check that out in a few days.

After many sleepless nights and much soul searching, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to close The Merch Desk.
The last few years, since Brexit, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain the business. Excessive bureaucracy has meant that the time it takes to process orders has increased enormously and the added customs/export issues has meant that many of my European customers no longer order from me. The last two quarters I have needed to supplement the business accounts with my personal funds which is not a sustainable business model, I’m sure you will agree. It's extremely sad for me to wave goodbye to something I have built from scratch and single handedly run over the last 13 years, but by closing the business, I will have time to pursue other more financially secure and less physically demanding options for the future. Goodness knows what that will be!
I have a knee replacement operation booked for the 7th March so I plan to take the website offline at the end of February and complete any transactions by the end of March.
Thank you for supporting me all these years and please continue to support grass roots bands and venues, especially during these tough times.

Due to Royal Mail industrial action, shipped orders will be severely delayed. The delays also apply to all other courier companies due to the knock on effect. This is BEYOND MY CONTROL and I'm afraid that I do not have time to personally deliver each item on my bike so please stop emailing me asking if I can "speed things up".

Dear friends. A couple of points to note. Firstly, I have been on tour with Lazuli for at least 10 days and have therefore NOT been at me desk. Please do not threaten me and use abusive language if you haven't received your CD. It will arrive in time. Secondly, the Loreena McKennitt CD is a PRE ORDER FOR RELEASE IN NOVEMBER.
