What an exciting week it’s been so far! All that not-winning at the British Book Awards has been exhausting! It was a terrific evening with booksellers and publishers to celebrate the best in the industry. There were moving speeches from Transworld, publisher of Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre and from Pan MacMillan, publisher of Careless People. There were tributes from the families of Jilly Cooper, Joanna Trollope and Sophie Kinsella.
There were winners and losers, of course, but even the losers had a great time! Congratulations to all the winners - remember to keep your Nibbies polished!

What a delightful evening we had with at Markenfield Hall. It was wonderful to hear Chloe talk about the leveret she raised (and those she is still living with!). Signed copies in the shop now.

We welcomed to the shop this morning to sign paperback copies of The North Road, which is published today.
