Essex Winter Series Round 5
Series Finale 08/03/2026
There was a packed field in all classes for the final round, with lots of championship points still up for grabs.
A nice technical track layout for this round, with a very good flow to it, not an easy thing to do, so well done to the EWS crew 👏
As you'd expect the meeting ran like clockwork and we were all done and dusted by 5.30pm, even with the awards ceremony! EWS just do it the best.
The Ti22 Team were again out in force, with 14 drivers running in all 3 classes.
We had some great results at the last round which made up for a few disappointing ones.
The highlights of the day were.
Mike Chapman had one to forget at this round, he still made the A Final in P4 but had absolutely no luck in the finals being pinballed about and had to retire.
Mark was looking for his second consecutive bump up from P3 in the B Final to help with the Championship points, but had to settle for 4th.
Ethan Southall just missing the podium in the 17.5 Stock class A Final, with Adam Southgate finishing a fine 5th place and Shane Chipolina 9th.
Oh and did we mention that Frankie beat his Dad 😲 the little fella had a great day and goes from strength to strength 💪🏻
Liam Tyrrel was our top qualifier in the super competitive Modified class just missing out on the A Final to take pole in the B which all went wrong after leading until lap 11 when he had to retire. But we had Sam Jones and Mikey Mansell making up for that as they finished 3rd and 4th from 7th and 8th on the grid, Mikey having a great day with a one off Mod entry.

That's a wrap for the winter season as we now prepare for the outdoor season.
We would like to thank all of our team drivers for sticking with us for another year and wish those who have retired this year all the best for their future boredom not racing 😀
Also a big thank you to all of our customers over the winter. Without you we are nothing and we hope we served you well 😉
We will be at all of the BRCA Nationals as well as some of the WLRC and Colchester club meetings, you'll be able to find us easier this year as we have a new gazebo ❤️
See you trackside.
