Halifax and Brighouse car boot sales will operate this weekend and cease until further notice.

Council-run markets to remain open.

Please support Calderdale’s market traders and shop locally if you can – but only visit if you are feeling well.

Extra hand sanitising facilities are available in all council markets – please use them and wash your hands often.

The council will, of course, keep the situation under review in light of developments and will keep all traders and the public updated should the situation change.

Due to the forecasted weather the Halifax Car Boot will be closed this Sunday.

“Due to the forecasted weather this weekend and further flood risks, the following markets are cancelled. Todmorden Open market - Sat and Sun. Sowerby Bridge - Saturday Hebden Bridge - Saturday and Sunday. Car boot sales at Brighouse and Halifax are also cancelled. ”
