A blinder is a piece of kit that obscures the image in the non-sighting eye, in order to improve the sight picture.
It should also be used to balance the amount of light entering each eye - if the aiming eye is subjected to significantly more or less light than the non-aiming eye, the ability to acquire and maintain a good sight picture is likely to be compromised.
Those who shoot outdoors should also consider a blinder setup that doesn't obscure their view of wind flags or other wind indicators.
There are many designs of blinder available: blinders mounted on headbands, blinders to clip onto your shooting hat, blinders that fit to the rearsight, blinders to fix onto shooting glasses...
They come in different colours too: black, white, transluscent, green, blue
So which is the best one to use, we hear you ask?
Quite simply, it's the one that gives you the best, most comfortable sight picture in a format that suits you best.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY.

I lost the front sight for my Hammerli AP20 and needed a replacement. An internet search led to EMMR and their website. This showed what appeared to be the official replacement "out of stock" but a few other similar front sights "in stock" and I did not know which would fit my gun.
I telephoned both numbers shown on their website. Initially I got no reply, however I was able to leave a message and I was called back later that day. The lady who did so was very helpful. The "out of stock" front sight is black, just like the original on my gun, whereas the only front sight they had "in stock" which would fit my gun was a kind of galvanised metal grey - this one. (If you click on the expanded view of the sight this becomes obvious but was not on the thumbnail view).
It was suggested that I could use a black Sharpie on it to make it to black. I ordered one of these sights and it arrived very quickly despite using standard Royal Mail. In fact, I find the grey easier to see and have left it as it is. First class service all round from a small family business, and a happy customer who was back shooting again very quickly.

654 Deluxe Rifle Case

Our 654 Deluxe Rifle Case has been designed by shooters for shooters.

The case features a large padded main compartment (approx 126cm x 28cm x 6cm) featuring two adjustable internal velcro straps to secure your rifle in position, and an end pouch to support the rifle butt.

The Deluxe Rifle Case features three padded external pockets, one of which, at 125cm x 10cm x 5cm, is long enough to fit cleaning rods - perfect for keeping your rifle clean on the go.

The carry handles are sewn around under the bag to give strength when carrying your rifles. The carry handle features a padded velcro cover.

The rear of the bag features two adjustable clip-on shoulder straps with adjustable pads to give a choice of carrying either as a backpack or supported over one shoulder on a single strap.
