it's been a while but I'm still here 🐌✨ still severely burnt out but still here. how have you been?
the cards are available in my etsy shop & (a little update)I moved from patreon to ko-fi because it's currently more accessible and easier to keep up with! there you can tip just one time or sign up for monthly donations like on patreon. The concept will be more or less the same as with patreon: I’m going to try running the ko-fi page as a cozy blog-like space with occasional insights into my illustrations, little life updates, my senior pup‘s sleepy life & my silly little thoughts. I will occasionally open commissions and offer digital goodies 🦔💜

being self-employed and creating is oftentimes the only possible source of income and way of survival for autistic and disabled folx due to the lack of accommodations and access to education and job market. I’ve tagged some of my fav accounts but feel free to comment and share more 🦔✨

I’m still recovering from severe med complications from last week but I can now manage a short walk with my dog which seemed impossible just a few days ago & im so grateful 🐌✨

A small handcrafted zine with text written by Caroline Caitlin () and illustrated by me.
We are all holding so much. depression. illness. grief. fear. loneliness. anger. the loss of what we thought our lives would be, could be. there are many reasons we might want to give up. We hope this zine can bring you & your loved ones a little bit of light and guidance on how to keep going when you feel like you can’t hold on anymore. With much love from both me and Caroline.
Each zine is handmade from start to finish: the cover is made from lokta paper dyed with tea and the pages are printed on rice paper made for fine art reproduction. It is bound by hand with a dark-red thread.

I’ve worked so hard on them & I really love how everything turned out! You can keep them in your fav notebook or put it on your desk or fridge aand they can also be used as postcards to send little notes to people that you love each month (there’s lots of space to write on the back of each card)🐌🐌🐌

I really love postcards or snail mail as a way of communication. I sometimes struggle to keep in touch with people in other ways, even online.

The most postcards I’ve sent was probably in the first year after emigrating. I felt very isolated and unable to connect to my old community or to find a new one in a different place. I was already very sick, but not knowing I was autistic at the time, I was surprised to discover that snail mail was the most accessible way of communicating for me 🐌✨

This time of the year is definitely my favorite for putting on three hoodies, two coats and taking longer walks (when pain and fatigue allow it). I still feel a bit anxious and self-concious while using mobility aids but also so much more supported and safe 🍁✨

✨ Glimmers are cues of safety or peace. According to Deb Dana, they are the opposite of triggers. Glimmers can make us feel safe and grounded, especially during a difficult and transitioning time or in the aftermath of trauma. Any grounding or soothing objects, friends, pets and other beings or maybe a favorite pass time can serve as glimmers for you. This card is a reminder to take note of small, comforting things and moments in your life, even when things seem especially dark or hopeless.

The first version of this illustration was one of the first pieces I have made as part of my collaboration with Tai (). It turned out to be a long term project with my art undergoing so much change and growth over time. Now we are finally close to finishing the first volume of this illustrated book of somatic exercises with trauma-informed, disability and healing justice foundations centering QTBIPOC identities. It is an exciting and challenging process of learning to honor our own limitations and resources while also creating such meaningful work.
The necklace is inspired by the amazing works of 💜✨

Dreamy spoonie ghostie 💫💜
It has been a little over a year since my worst hospitalization. I drew the first version of this ghostie back then, covered in wires with shaking hands while listening to Care Work by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha (a disability justce manifesto) and trying to block out all of the beeping machines and the ICU hectic. My hands are still shaky and I am still in (so much) pain but otherwise I feel much more in control of my body and life.
🖨 on a different note I finially managed to get a prefessional printer which means I am now making archival quality fine art prints and all kinds of tiny beautiful art things at home (availible in my Etsy shop via link in my bio)!
