It took millions of years for stones to form. Nature created them and the winding roads they followed rubbing against one another on their way until they reached the present day are known to us. They created the secret of beauty, which they washed ashore…
Each stone, like a human being, is unique and inimitable. A stone has a shape, shades and patterns, whereas man’s peculiarity lies in a combination of genes characteristic of him.
The desire to show the secret of nature’s creative power encourages me to create these artworks. Making use of a special technique, stone is captured in a “wet” state thanks to which all details are clearly exposed.
Taking into consideration an exceptional character of a stone, figurines are made of the mixture of clay and sand, and the stone is covered with silver or bronze. With the direction of light changing, skipping silhouettes of little men move as if life were breathed into them – they change the position of their background shadow.
