Congratulations to Baron Electric Ltd. on winning $5,000 with our Contest. The winner also had the opportunity to pick their favourite charity to donate the same amount they won.
Baron Electric Ltd. decided to give their donation of $5,000 to North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre, an organization that seeks to reintroduce animals back into the wild and educate the general population about wildlife and environmental issues.
They will use this donation to help pay for the rebuild of their bird rehabilitation center. They are currently fundraising to build the new Songbird Rehabilitation centre in time for the busy baby bird season in the spring of 2021.

By winning our contest, Chamber Électrique could choose an organization for a donation of the same amount they won. They selected Fondation René-Verrier, an organization that offers free palliative care for everyone. We are proud to donate $2,500 to Haven Toronto, an organization that serves elder homeless men aged 50 and over. As part of our Contest, Spark Power Corp. won a prize money of $2,500 for their company and the charity of their choice.
The donation to Haven Toronto will help fund their food programs. The number of meals they serve at breakfast is up 254% since February. Haven Toronto said this donation will be highly useful in financing this service as they saw a decrease in restaurant food donations and higher costs of operation due to adaptation to Covid-19.
