Our Story

I founded this company in 1986 to ensure that amateur astronomers in Canada were able to find a great selection of new and used gear at competitive prices Being an amateur astronomer myself, I appreciate the value of good quality equipment and the accessories that go along with that gear.

We carry gear from the key manufacturers who make equipment for both beginner and advanced enthusiasts.

We also offer Binoculars and Microscopes and service and repair instruments regardless of whether purchased from us or not.

Picked up a telescope for my kid for Christmas - great customer service from Khan scopes, and one of the very few places with the starsense in stock - can’t wait to get it out and give it a try. Thanks 😊
Do you buy used telescopes?
I have recently purchased a lovely Meade ETX 125 Observer from Ray at Khan Scopes and absolutely love it. My son and I love it so much that we have now ordered many accessories to go with it. The service, expertise and quality of products at Khan Scopes is far superior to any other dealer I have done business with. I will be a return customer for years to come and will recommend this store to anyone looking for products in this field. Thanks Ray for all your help!!

Seems to be hard to deal with, although I have bought from them in the past. I phoned about an item on the web page, using the number on the Webpage. First, I had to ask twice if I had dialed the right number before they admitted it was them. He was reluctant to say the name. Then he said he would not help me with items I saw on the web page, where I got the number. I have to contact the warehouse (no number) I was trying to be supportive rather than using Amazon. Looks like a go-to. Too many barriers
