Hello everyone it’s been some time, but gaming altar is evolving and merging with Nerdz Cafe located in Woodstock. This means there will no longer be a storefront in Stratford. Exciting news everyone!

We have decided on our store championship.

On Saturday July 9th, at 6:00 PM, we will be holding an UNSTABLE draft!

Entrance will be 20$ and is limited to 24 people due to the quantity of packs available. All entrances will include a free drink.

First place will recieve a Dark Confidant in Foil Textless, as well as 100$ in store credit.

2nd will recieve an archmage's charm in Foil, as well as 75$ store credit.

3rd will recieve an archmage's charm in Foil, as well as 50$ store credit.

4-8th will still recieve an archmage's charm in Foil!

8th-24th, will recieve a Flame Slash in its new art specifically for this!

Come on out and enjoy a fun, lighthearted tournament played with a now rare set!

Come join us for our next Two-Headed Giant Commander tournament!
Tournament will be held Saturday July 2nd! with first round beginning at 6:00PM. Estimated end time is approximately 11pm.
Entry for this event is $20 for each player.
Many door prizes available at the event and $500 in store credit will be divided among the top 3 .
The rules for the event are as follow:
- *****Decks may not share any cards, other then basic lands. (ie. only one deck may have a sol ring.). ******
- You choose your partner
- Starting life total is 60 combined
- Matches are best of 3
- 21 Commander damage from a single commander
- 15 Poison counters
- Partners cannot have the same commander
- Standard multiplayer ban list
- Players on the left are dominant head and draw on the first turn if going first.
- Rounds are 90 Minutes
- Partners may block for one another.
- One free mulligan for each player each game will be allowed. After that standard mulligan rules apply.
- as per standard tournament rules, if any loop contains only mandatory actions and can not be stopped by either player that match will result in a draw.

Prize structure
First place: 250
Second Place: 150
Third Place: 100
Door prize's will be given at the end of the night

Good Afternoon everyone!

We will be hosting our next event Saturday June 18th at 5:30 PM.

The event will be a Pre-constructed deck tournament with the following rules.

Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate!

The purchase of any Pre-constructed commander deck will grant entrance to the event, if you choose to bring one you already own entrance will be 20$.

All decks must not be functionally altered, (ie using different arts on your basic lands is allowed, but swapping a basic land for a fetch land is not.).

Players will split into pods of 4,after round one everyone with the same placement ie 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, will move to a table together, The top two players at the first table will be considered as 1st and second, and the top 2 players at the second place table will be considered 3rd and 4th.

Decks that would normally be considered "banned out of box" for this event will be considered to be legal (ie, Upgrades unleashed and Political Puppets will be allowed as they are out of box) .

Swapping of commanders from inside the deck is allowed.

1st place: Case of Baldur's gate commander decks.

2nd Place: 2 Baldur's gate Commander decks

3rd Place 1 Baldur's gate commander deck.

4th Place, 25$ store credit.

Tournament will be held Saturday March 26th with first round beginning at 6:00PM. Estimated end time is approximately 11pm.
Entry for this event is $15 for each player.

The rules for the event are as follow:
- Starting life total is 30.
- Matches are best of 3
- 21 Commander damage
- 10 Poison counters
- Player who goes first does not draw.
- Duel commander ban list.
- 1 free mulligan a game is allowed. Standard mulligan rules apply after for each game.
- Rounds are 90 Minutes
- you may not have more then 1 commander in the command zone. (Partner mechanic is disabled.)
- as per standard tournament rules, if any loop contains only mandatory actions and can not be stopped by either player that game will result in a draw.
-No restrictions on any sort of win conditions.
-Oversized cards may be used as the commander. That card may not be shuffled into the deck.
-Please have the companion app installed and prepared for use.
