A little sneak peek from something we’re preparing for July!

These handmade olive wood coffee spoons will be featured at a special summer gathering we’re hosting to celebrate 10 years of community service and outreach in Uganda.

We’ll be highlighting local businesses, sharing stories from the past decade, and showing how simple acts of support have helped create real impact for vulnerable youth and families.

It’s a casual, welcoming evening with good food, meaningful connection, and a chance to hear more about what’s been built and what’s ahead.

"A smile is a gift you can give every day.”

Did you know that 1 in 4 people in BC haven’t been to a dentist in the last year? For many, the cost of care is simply too high, which can make basic dental health feel like a difficult struggle rather than a daily habit.

We want to say a huge thank you to for providing these oral hygiene supplies that were so needed for our Wellness Essentials (WE) Kits, making sure a healthy smile is accessible to everyone in our community.

It is truly powerful when local businesses, charities, churches and the city’s food bank team up. That kind of alignment is what keeps a community’s heart beating, especially when tackling issues like period poverty that are so often overlooked.

As of late 2024, the cost of personal care items like pads and tampons has risen by over 6% due to inflation, making it even harder for low-income residents to keep up.

A recent survey found that 25% of menstruating Canadians have had to choose between purchasing menstrual products or other essentials like food and rent in the past year.

Todays donation of helps bridge this exact gap, ensuring that Wellness Essentials aren’t just a luxury, but a guaranteed right for everyone in the Fraser Valley.

As we prepare for our upcoming summer volunteer assembly day, we are currently seeking ongoing storage space in the Langley / Walnut Grove / Fort Langley area.

• A warehouse, garage, barn, or shared space

• Room for shelving units and organized storage

• Safe, clean, and accessible environment

These handwoven Bunga baskets carry generations of Tonga tradition, made with care, and sustainably sourced materials.
As we expand outreach locally here in Canada and continue projects across East Africa, these pieces remind us that creativity, resilience, and hope know no borders.
