Thank you so much for your support, it is deeply appreciated. The community Scotian Shores has created have removed 1.8 million pounds of garbage from our shoreline and everyday they are increasing that total. So amazing. There are earrings still available (in the album pinned to the top of the page) to purchase. I am making more so we will keep raising money as cleanup work and costs are ongoing. 🦞💙🌊

Last week I had a disappointing outcome with my resin experiments. I took the time to chop up little bits of green lobster tags and thought they’d be so cute in the leaf shape. I was excited about how they turned out but as I was adding jump rings I dropped one and it broke. I’m so used to flexible clay and it surprised and frustrated me. I’ve tried to fix it but it hasn’t worked yet so I’m brainstorming solutions. The learning curve of working with a new medium is always filled with these kind of experiences and I thought I’d share.

FYI the small studs are very solid but a heads up for all of us that the larger shapes become more brittle.

Whoa, I’m blown away by all of you incredible humans. Since posting yesterday I have sold 15 pairs of lobster tag earrings and raised over $150 for Scotian Shores!🎉 These are the five pairs I have left at the moment. I am making a few more amongst packing up orders and will share them when they are finished.

All the tags have been washed in hot soapy water but they’ve lived a life on a boat, in the ocean and on shore so they’ve the scars to show it. Millennials can play a fun game of finding ones with their birth year.
