🌿 A Little Update From Farm Descendants Boutique 🌿

One of the challenges of opening a new business is finding hours that work well for both our customers and our family.

Over the past month, we’ve been learning, listening, and paying attention to when people are stopping in. We also need to balance store hours with farm life, creating new products, and all the responsibilities that come with a family-run business.

After much consideration, we’ve decided on our June hours:

🕓 Wednesday: 4 PM – 6 PM
🕓 Thursday: 4 PM – 6 PM
🕓 Friday: 4 PM – 6 PM
🕘 Saturday: 9 AM – 4 PM
❌ Sunday: Closed
❌ Monday & Tuesday: Closed

As summer arrives and the kids are out of school, we’ll be extending our hours!

We’re excited to announce that our Hive Thrive Activity Book will be available at Farm Descendants Boutique beginning Wednesday evening!

Created to help children learn about honey bees, pollination, and the important role bees play in our world, this fun and educational book is filled with activities designed to encourage learning through play.

Today we’re celebrating the youngest member of the Farm Descendants Boutique crew!

If you’ve stopped by the store, there’s a good chance you’ve met Jed. Whether he’s helping carry things in, lending a hand with setup, sharing a story, or greeting visitors with a smile, he brings energy, laughter, and enthusiasm wherever he goes.

Jed has a big heart, a curious mind, and a willingness to help anyone who needs it. He may still be discovering what his special “thing” will be, but one thing is certain—he is an important part of our family, our farm, and our boutique.

🐝📚 A Little Peek Behind the Scenes… 📚🐝

David is busy preparing for a presentation at a small school in Hanover this week, and we’ve been having a lot of fun putting together activity packages for the students.

As we were gathering materials, we pulled out something we haven’t looked at in a while—our Hive Thrive Collectors Game! Along with our bee-themed bookmarks and educational cards, it reminded us of a project that was created to help children learn about bees, pollination, and the important role honey bees play in our world.

Sometimes the best ideas get tucked away while life gets busy on the farm, in the bee yard, and at the boutique. Seeing these again has us wondering if they deserve a place in our Hive Collection after all.
