It’s and this is my one contribution for the month. These were photos I took for myself and never planned to share, but here they are.

I started sewing at last Christmas, just wanting to learn something new (like painting and woodworking). What surprised me most? Making clothes for my body gave me a whole new appreciation for it.

Who knew that in my 40s I’d finally feel comfort and joy in my five-foot frame, no longer mourning the double-zero version of me.

“Bling Bird” is currently displayed at the Pearl Ellis Gallery. 🦜

OPENING TODAY!
The Awakening Spring Members show kicks off today in the gallery and continues until March 28. The exhibition features paintings, photography, jewelry and fibre art from 40 local artists. We hope to see you for the opening reception March 7 from 1-3 at the gallery. Come enjoy the work, meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments in a beautiful creative atmosphere.

Pearl Ellis Gallery is located at 1729 Comox Ave and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am - 4pm.
