After 10 wonderful years of serving the dance community, I would like to announce that Dynamic Dancewear Rockhampton will be closing its doors to our local boutique, for good, on December 22nd, 2025.

As I shift my focus to my brand, Studio Bronwyn, in 2026, I will be dedicating my time to creating couture costumes and tiaras from my private design studio. With the growing demand for my couture work, I’m excited to continue crafting beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations for dancers and performers.

I am concluding my retail journey for very personal reasons; However, I have always been deeply committed to providing the CQ region with high-quality dancewear and exceptional service. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to share the following perspective:

The growing trend of dance schools independently sourcing uniforms directly from overseas manufacturers and importers in the last 3 years has resulted in HIGHER COSTS & LOWER QUALITY FOR DANCE FAMILIES, compared with the reliable, well-established brands consistently stocked by your local dance retailers. A recent cost comparison showed that a family’s expenditure on a dance school’s imported brand of dancewear was approximately 40-60% higher than if the similar higher quality items had been sourced through local retailers.

DANCE SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE, and unnecessary increased costs such as these could ultimately determine whether a child is able to participate or not.

Also, support your local businesses, as they support you at competitions and are the ones that will meet you at the stage door to help, when you lose a shoe or ladder your last pair of stockings.....oh so many happy memories of rescues.

It has been such a privilege to assist CQ dance families over the years. I’ve loved supporting local competitions, theatrical productions, and, of course, fitting young dancers in their pointe shoes. I will forever cherish the memories of seeing your dancers in-store and performing on stage.
