Welcome back to our regular customers and welcome to all of you who have only just discovered our two wonderful op shops.
Singleton/ Golden Bay and Secret Harbour op shop.
And welcome back to our wonderful and much loved volunteers, without whom we would-not be able to exist.
Hope you have all had a much deserved and restful holiday.

I would like to pass on my gratitude to all you wonderful people who have supported our op shop with your donations and your financial support by shopping at our two shops.
Your support enables us to give financial support locally and internationally.

But as per usual with all the wonderful donations there are of course the stuff that we are just not able to sell at all due to their condition.
If you wouldn’t buy ripped, dirty, smelly and used underwear or clothing, please why would you expect someone else to.
We have to handle these then send them to the tip which of course costs us money.
Pleas please 🙏, put them in your bins or take them to the tip yourself.
Same goes for broken items, we are just not able to fix them.
I know it’s Christmas time and everyone is clearing out and making room for all those wonderful presents.
But please don’t use us as a dumping ground, we are truly overwhelmed already.

A Tasmanian IGA is offering a 5% discount to customers who pay for their groceries with cash.

IGA Richmond owner Kosta Tzortzis says the discount is designed to encourage locals to keep using cash and to help elderly customers and those who don’t use bank cards.

Before the discount was introduced nearly two years ago, Tzortzis said around 80% of customers were paying by card and 20% by cash. The discount has shifted those numbers slightly to around 70% card and 30% cash.
