It’s nice to take time and develop new skills all while being creative. This afternoon I turned a globe Christmas Ornament, something I’ve been wanting to try for a while.

This meant I turned my first hollow form, well the picture is actually the second hollow form as I went through the side of the first one 😊🤷‍♂️
It was also my first attempt at a finial.

I’m pretty stoked at how this turned out and might just have to turn a few more of these 😁

Enclosed Atracia kit Fountain Pen dressed in a Diamond Cast blank. You need to see this pen in real life see how much it sparkles with the diamond pieces in it.

This pen is on the slightly shorter side in the body so would suite someone with a smaller hand or those who prefer shorte pens for balance.

Little Aussie Bush Pens is using his own lathe he refurbished this afternoon. While he has turned a pen or two before. This is his first pen on his own lathe. I’m hoping I won’t loose my lathe as often now 😊

While it’s all about turning!

What you might not know, it’s not all turning.

Last night was video editing, with a cold one.

Today it’s about batching out to prepare for turning. In that pile of sticks is about 150 spinning tops now waiting for turning when the time presents itself. A great little time filler when you only have short spurts available.

Cosmic Sparkle Acacia Fountain Pen
